Review of the Retail Planning Guidelines (2005) - Calls for Submissions

The Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, Mr. John Gormley T.D., has decided to initiate a review of the retail planning guidelines for planning authorities. An issues paper has been produced and is available on the Department’s website http://www.environ.ie/en/Publications/DevelopmentandHousing/Planning/FileDownLoad,1613,en.pdf

Accordingly, the Irish Planning Institute intends to make a submission in respect of this review and has established an ad-hoc committee to formulate a response. Therefore, it is requested that any member who has comments in relation to the review of the Retail Planning Guidelines would make their submissions in writing or by email on or before the 9th July. Submissions can be emailed to (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or send by post to the IPI Office and should be clearly marked ‘Retail Planning Guidelines Review’.
