“Beyond Borders - Approaches to SEA and AA in the Trans-Boundary Context”

This half day seminar considered guidance under preparation by the governments in Belfast and Dublin on meeting the requirements set out in the SEA Directive and national legislation for trans-boundary consultation. There was also a talk by the EPA on how SEA is currently progressing and the need for greater co-operation in the border context, including enhanced trans-boundary GIS capability. Finally there was a presentation on the environmental assessments being carried out as part of a review of the Regional Planning Guidelines for the Border Region covering Counties Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Cavan, Monaghan and Louth.
