CALL FOR COMMENTS: ‘A Framework for Sustainable Development for Ireland’ - IPI Submission

Saturday, January 28, 2012

Dear Member,

I attach the public consultation draft of “A Framework for Sustainable Development for Ireland”. The IPI Council has set up a small sub-group to co-ordinate a submission on this document to the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government.

Download the public consultation draft of “A Framework for Sustainable Development for Ireland” here.

Download the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government letter to Stakeholders here.

It is now 15 years since “Sustainable Development: a Strategy for Ireland” was published and it is important that the IPI has input into this new Sustainable Development Framework.  I would invite you to send me your views on this draft document so that they can be considered in preparing the IPI submission to the Department. Whereas all comments are welcome, it might be more useful to focus on the main issues and direction of the document rather than the detail and this might only be a page in length.

Could you please return any submission to me at e-mail address below not later than the 6th February.

Thanks,

Gerry Sheeran,
IPI Council Member
